This fraternal and social organization of Catholic men, aged 18 & over, embraces service to the Church, community, family and youth. They sponsor activities in the Church and work to raise funds, where needed. Brother Knights enjoy opportunities for good works and fellowship.

There are over 1.7 million knights in 13,000 councils throughout the U.S.A., Canada, Phillippines, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Panama, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guam, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and most recently Poland. These Knights donate over 63 million volunteer hours, plus $136 million to charitable programs annually. When you become a member of the Knights of Columbus you are joining the largest Catholic lay organization in the world. Council Events (September 2017– June 2018)

-General Meeting:  2nd Wed of the month (7:00 pm Mass.7:45 pm  @St. Augustine Council  Chambers)
-Executive Meeting: :
4th  Wed of the month (7:00 pm  @ St. Augustine Council  Chambers).
-Sunday Brunch (1st Sunday of the month – October through June)
-St. Augustine Fall Supper (October)
-Valentines Dinner/Dance (Feb 17, 2018)
-Friday Fish Fry (Fridays during Lent)
-Communion Breakfast 1st Sunday of the Month

Some of the programs that the Knights are involved with are:
-Keep Christ in Christmas Coloring Contest
-Highway cleanup Spring and Fall
-Rose Sunday – Sale of roses at St. Augustine & St. Mary’s – For CPC

- Knights of Columbus Council have distrubuted more than $1.5 Billion and over 691 million volunteer hours to various charitable causes over the past decade.
-Provided more than 230,000 children with warm winter coats through our coats for kids program.
- Through our Ultrasound Initiative, helped place more than 600 ultrasound machines in pregnancy care centers which assist expenctant mothers choose life for their babies.
- Distrubuted ove $3.3 Billion in dividents over the past decade to insured members.
- Since 1981, councils have provided over 63Million in support to over 104,000 seminarians, postulants and novices through RSVP(Refund Support Vocation Program)
- Over the years, through the partnership with the Global Wheelchair Mission, have given the gift of mobility to nearly 50,000 people.
- Established the $1 million Kinights of Columbus Heros Fund to provide financial support to the families of emergency personnel killed or disabled during 9/11 attacks.
- Our insurance company is one of the highly rated in North Amaerica and has been recognised as one of the worlds most ethical companies by the Ethisphere’ Institute.
